Richard Anderson is a long-time sportswriter who took a little leave of absence but is back in the game again.
I say again because I am currently a sportswriter for the Rapid City Journal after a few years away from the business with several personal events occurring, including the illness and passing of my wife, Teresa, in January 2012.
When I can, I still plug away on this blog when I can. In case you’re wondering, I’m 53 years of age and previously spent most of my adult life as a sportswriter in various locations (Belle Fourche, S.D., Hot Springs, S.D., Worland, Wyo., Laramie, Wyo., Mount Vernon, Wash., and Laramie again). I did OK for myself, being named Wyoming sportswriter of the year twice by the National Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association, as well as winning a few individual writing awards. At any rate, this is not my first rodeo
